Whatever!

OK, I don't know what I was thinking when I put in my resolutions that I was going to be organized! There is absolutely no way to organize 5 people's things in 1100 sq. ft. I have only accomplished getting frustrated. There is no where to put anything. I think I may need to go through everything again and get rid of what I do not absolutely have to have, and maybe then I will have some room. I don't know!
By the way, still no luck with Cricket, I can't get them to return my calls. Looks like a new ISP in my future, and I will see if Cricket will refund any of my money since they have not provided me full access to the internet like I pay for, we will see.

Jacob

I was looking at this and it seems like Jake is being left out! What can I say about Jacob? He is so very smart, and I am not saying that because I am his mother, the other people around him also see it. He has straight A's in school. He had to read 100 books by the 100th day of school, and he finished early, of course. He is at 140 books and still reading. He cannot lie, at all! He makes a face if he tries, but he also told me what his face looks like if he is trying to pull one over on me! I guess you could say he's honest. When you really get him laughing, he still has a baby giggle that is the cutest thing. He makes up all kinds of jokes and then laughs at himself. He loves his brothers, he may not always admit it, but he does. He is very helpful with them. On Saturday mornings he is the first one up, he will get Nicolas and play with him so Jason and I can sleep in. He is the first one to tell me when Lucas is doing something wrong! He reads to Lucas and tells him what the letters are, I didn't know this and was wondering how Lucas was learning the alphabet, then I caught him reading and teaching. He is a truly sweet little boy. I can not believe that my baby is over half way through with the 1st grade, before I know it, he will be in college.

My little Romeo!

Lucas, Lucas, Lucas. He is crazy! Over Christmas break, Lucas and I got 'married'. I don't remember what brought this on, but he just had to marry me. I just said "Do you promise to love me?", he said, "yes!" I promised him the same and we were married. Afterwards I asked him if we were going on a honeymoon and he said we were going drinking! Of course I said, "drinking?!", he said we were going to drink sprite. Some days he doesn't say anything about us being married until Jason comes in and gives me a kiss. He will punch Jason, usually in his man parts, and say "that's my wife!" Other days he talks about it non-stop. When I'm laying on the couch, he'll come lay beside me, and look at me and say, I love you wife! Look at that sweet face! It sometimes gets very annoying, sometimes he won't just quit talking about it. At school, since Valentine's Day is coming up, they are asking them what love means to them. Lucas put down that he loves his mommy only, then went back and put he loves bananas also! I am enjoying that he loves me so much, because I know the time is coming when he would rather talk to a tree than talk to me!

UGH!

I can't give any updates on the kids, I don't know what they've been doing. I have been on the phone with 3 different tech supports since Saturday. I have talked to U of Phoenix tech support,U of Phoenix library tech support and Cricket tech support, and still no help! UGH! In one of my classes I have a persuasive essay on outsourcing jobs to foreign countries, which I haven't really started. I was thinking I have 9 weeks to do it, but this past Sunday my thesis statement was due, this coming Sunday the full sentence outline is due. Up until Friday I had no problems getting into the library. Saturday I sat down and was going to start my research, I couldn't get into the library. After numerous phone calls and borrowing Paula's computer, I figured out it wasn't my computer, there is something wrong on Crickets end. I am waiting for a call back from them. I may end up having to change ISP's. With all of the phone calls they had me changing all of my stuff up, so much so I have no idea where to start to try to get my computer back the way it was. When I try to login to MySpace, it takes me to Google for some reason. I am so sick of the computer. I guess I need to get over that, I'm only 4 weeks into a 20 month degree!
I do know that today Nicolas walked around alot! He yelled ever few seconds to make sure everyone knew what he was doing. It was pretty funny. If my computer ever gets fixed I will let y'all know.

Here's a picture of Nicolas walking. I videoed him with the camera, but the computer wouldn't recognize that so I ran and found the video camera. My windows media player has never worked right so guess what, no video! I hate this stupid computer! I know you can't see much from the picture, but it is the best I can do. He is doing so good, he is walking everywhere!

My little baby is so BIG!

My little baby decided to walk! He just got up from sitting in the floor and took off! He didn't do it very long, but he did it. The last time he tried he fell back and hit his head on the coffee table and that made him fall forward and hit his face on the floor. I wasn't able to get a picture of him walking before he fell. I will get one and post it. I am so sad that my little baby is growing up!

Turning 29....

I am minutes away from turning 29. I thought that I should say something! Where I am at in my life is not where I thought I would be 12-15 years ago. I was not the type of girl that always had a boyfriend. I had a couple, but they weren't around long, I always found a reason to get rid of them. I didn't care. I was dead set on being a cardiologist. To be a cardiologist, I couldn't be married or be a mother. I thought that to focus on my career I didn't need those distractions. Then, what happens one day? I meet Jason. I just have to get married. Then of course the kids follow. I am in no way saying that if I could do things different that anything would be different, or I regret anything that I have done. I am saying that I have come to the realization that sometimes things don't go as planned and that is perfectly fine. Had I not met Jason, I would have never met the man that is absolutely perfect for me. I would have never had those three beautiful boys that call me mommy. As I get to the last 365 days of my 20's that have somehow slipped by so fast, I see that I could have never imagined the perfectly chaotic life that I have and LOVE.
So, my plan for my 29th year is to enjoy every second of it. I have no idea what it will bring, so I'm just gonna roll with it! I think that is going to be my plan for the rest of my life. Why worry about what didn't get done in my 20's, 30's, 40's etc? The only thing to do is to make sure that I raise some wonderful men! Make sure that all the people in my life know how much I love them and how appreciated they are. Some people say that the 20's are supposed to be the best years, I am making them the years that I used for my stepping stones to make all my years from here on out the best years ever!

Peek-a-boo

This is what Nicolas and I were doing before he went to bed. The big boys were sleeping already. Now that I have re-arranged the furniture we can walk around one part of the couch. Nicolas is on the couch and I get behind and we play peek-a-boo. He thinks that it is so hilarious. He jumps when he finds me and usually wears himself out. It is pretty funny to watch!

What it means to be a Mother

When did becoming a mother mean that you could not, for the rest of your life, eat a hot meal?
This is lunch here: "Lucas I'm making ____. Do you want some?"
Lucas, "No, I don't like that."
Me, "Yes you do, you eat it all the time."
Lucas, "No, I'm not hungry. I don't want any munch." (he calls lunch munch)
Me, "OK, fine, don't eat."
I will make my plate, sit down and start to eat when he comes and either says he is hungry, but wants something else that I then have to get up and make or take the finger I just seen in his nose and put it in my food. Why does that happen? Lucas isn't the only one that does it, but he does it the most.

When did becoming a mother mean that you could not, for the rest of your life, take a shower by yourself? With Jason being gone all the time, of course if I just have to take a shower when the kids are awake, the door has to be left open. I try to wait to shower when they are all asleep. That doesn't always happen. Why does everyone need to use the bathroom or need to tell me something as soon as I get in there? When Jason is at home and I should be able to go in there by myself, WRONG! He thinks he has to be in there.

How can the kids be fine all day long, playing good, taking their naps, everything perfect, until the phone rings? It does not matter if I will be on the phone 1 second or 1 hour, they go into full on melt downs, fist fights and anything else they can think to do. Does the telephone ringer have some kind of secret tone thing that only kids can hear? I don't know if that one will ever be figured out.

These are the only gripes I have about motherhood today, check back, I'm sure I'll have more.

Here are some of the most lovely things about motherhood:
When Nicolas wakes up in the morning with that big ole smile on his face because he is happy to see ME.
When Lucas wraps his arms around my neck and says "Mommy I love you the most in the world."
When Jacob giggles at the t.v. and still has that little baby giggle that I hope so much never goes away.
When everything in the house is quiet, I go to see what is going on, and they are all asleep and look so angelic and I cannot believe that those babies are part of me.

Even though I have some mommy gripes, which I am sure most mommies do, I would never want to be anything else. I absolutely love those smelly, always dirty, boys more than anything in the world, more than hot food, more than taking a shower in peace, and way more than being able to receive a call!

The Chair of "Exile"

Nicolas can pretty much climb up and down everything in the house, except this rocking chair. Jacob and Lucas have realized this so Nicolas is "exiled" to the chair when they don't want him to mess with them. He was put there today so they could eat their lunch. He wasn't there long until he fell asleep.

I guess that Lucas was bored today or something! He said, "mommy, can you give me a wedgie?" I have no idea why he wanted a wedgie, but I complied with his wishes, even though I was laughing hysterically! He is going to ask me one day why I thought it was necessary to take a picture of this, and I will say, "Because I wanted to see the look on your face now!"

Nicolas

Nicolas will not sit in the high chair to eat, he has to sit on top of it. He of course thinks that this is hilarious. He is smiling like that because thats the face he makes when he sees the camera come out.I think the picture is cute, that's why it's on here!

New Years Resolutions

OK, it's New Years and you're supposed to make resolutions, although I never have! So I'm turning over a new leaf and making resolutions my first resolution! Ha Ha, not really. But here they are...

  • I have got to be more organized, with everything. I have to do things in the house everyday(laundry, throw away junk mail, etc.)
  • I have to stay on track with my schooling, so far so good, but then again I just started my second week.
  • I HAVE to lose weight. I know, I know that's on every one's list. I really have alot to lose, at least 30 lbs!
  • I want to be a better wife. I don't have to be(I think I'm pretty good!) I want to be. I love Jason very much and want him to be happy always.
  • I want to be the best mother possible. Lucas says" Mommy, you are the mommy in the whole world" he forgets to say "best", but if they think that I am already the best mommy in the world, I don't need to let them down. When they want to go outside, I need to go outside with them. If Lucas thinks he can fly off the roof because he has that super cool cape, who am I to stand in his way? That is a joke, I would never let him jump off the roof! If I can stay organized, see first resolution, there is no reason that I cannot be a better mother, without the yelling and the melt downs on my part and theirs!
  • And last but not least, I want to be a better me. I don't want to say anything stupid, then for weeks think about how dumb I felt and is the person I said it to mad at me, and then try to avoid said person for a month after that just for them to come back and say to someone else, why isn't Kathy talking to me what did I do to her?!?!? See, already broke that one, since Paula is the only one reading this now she's gonna think I'm a loser, cause I'm the only one that is amused by this rambling nonsense.

Anywho, we will see what happens in the year to come, besides all these things, we have alot to look forward to this year. I turn 29 in a few days, Lucas will turn 4, Jason the big 30, then Nicolas 2 and Jake 8. My babies are growing up!!

It's a new year, so I decided to blog. I don't have time to scrapbook, but I am always putting my pictures on the computer anyway. Paula says that this is a good thing for those of us who don't have the time! We will see. Here's just a few pictures I took of them on Christmas. Nicolas really liked playing in the paper!
