Goal

I have a new work out goal to work towards. It may sound stupid to some, but it's enough to get me going. My mother-in-law and her twin sister turn 50 on September 28. My father-in-law will turn 50 on November 30th. In honor of this big birthday, they want to have a big birthday party to celebrate. I think my aunt-in-law's daughter is doing a family cookout on September 26, but that night we are going to do an adult only party, and I think it's going to be at the V.F.W! I would like to look better than the 50 year olds there! In early August, I bought E.A. Sports Active work out game for Wii. I started it that day, and within 3 days, I had lost 4 lbs. I got a cold that turned into bronchitis, I think. I tried to work out, but I couldn't breathe. So I haven't been back to working out yet...I will be starting back today/tonight. The game has a 30 day challenge that's supposed to whip you into shape fast, and it was kicking my butt! I had just got to where my legs weren't so sore after a workout before I quit, so I will have to go back through that, ugh. I am not going to be a brave soul that posts how much I weigh, or any measurements on here. I will update on the amount of weight lost though. I am not going to stop working out on September 26, I would like to look awesome for a 30 year old when I turn 30 in January! I may have 3 kids, but no one said I have to look like I do! LOL!

Mom Gripe!

Isn't the sporadic screaming of a child enough to deal with when they're getting molars? Did the uncontrollable poop have to be added in? Last week I had to take two vomit covered kids into the store. This week I have been pooped on twice! Nicolas got me Tuesday while I was out trying to get some business taken care of. I knew he had pooped, but I did not know that it had run out of his diaper and down his leg. I picked him up and there was poop on both of my legs. I had no diaper wipes with me, of course! Nicolas and I had to ride home from North Little Rock covered in poop! He got me again today. I picked him up and went to pat his butt, I got a little more than expected. My hand was covered in poop. This time we were home, so it wasn't that bad.
Just wondering why they can't just have one thing wrong at a time. The screaming is very annoying, but poop is just gross, especially when it is all over me. Last week with the stomach virus, it had to come out both ends, why? One or the other I can deal with, but my patience is getting tested when I have to clean puke and poop at the same time. I think that guy that does that show Dirty Jobs should come by my house on one of those days. I think it would take that show to another level!

First Week of School

Somehow we survived the first week of school. Jacob and Lucas were very excited to go on Wednesday! There was so much traffic that day, it seemed like we had to walk a mile to get in there! When we finally got in, Jacob tells me that he is walking to his class by himself. I did not want him to, I wanted him to let me walk him, but he wouldn't budge. I got Lucas in his class, and he didn't say a word. Told me bye, and got down to business. I cried the whole way back to my car because Jake is too big to let his momma walk him to class. That night, Lucas came down with the stomach bug that Nicolas had on Monday. He was heart broken when I told him he could not go to school the next day. He did not get better on Thursday, so I had to tell him that he couldn't go on Friday either. When we picked Jake up Thursday, he locked himself up in his bedroom so he could stay away from the 'sick people'! Early Saturday morning, the stomach virus hit me and Jake. It was horrible. Jason turned 30 on Saturday, and we were supposed to go to Greeneville to Harlow's casino, but I wasn't sure if we would get to go. The stomach bug wasn't around for long, so we did get to go. SO, finally the stomach bug is gone, and Jason got to go out on his birthday. Now back to normal, kind of. I am starting a job tomorrow, we will see how that goes. I will be helping in the office where Jason works. I think my first task is to figure out if certain trucks are making money or not. I have no idea how many trucks there are, so I have no idea how long that will take. I'll update tomorrow after my first day.

It is almost over!

Nicolas is growing up, way too fast I might add! I was sitting in the bathroom talking on the phone (that's the only place I can semi be alone). Nicolas had to come in and he had no diaper on. He went straight to the potty chair and sat down. He was just playing at first, but then I sat him on there the right way. He PEED in the potty!!!! After he peed, he would not put a diaper on, he had to have underwear. He then walked around the house with his underwear around his ankles. He wanted to sit on the potty again, and he peed again! He is still in underwear, and refuses to wear a diaper. I do not know if it will last, but we will see.

Odd time...

It is such an odd time of summer for me right now. We haven't done anything really. The only real outing the kids have had so far is going to see Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs. We have gotten messed up on our schedule and don't get up until noon. I have just been saying, well we have time to do this or that, but I just realized summer is almost half over!

I got a letter in the mail and Lucas got accepted into Pre-K. He will be at school 5 days a week now. That is odd in it's self. It does not seem like he should be old enough to go to school for 5 days. Worse, it will be weird only having one kid at home during the day. I do not know what I will do when Nicolas goes to school.

As you all know, Jason has been looking for a new job. He may have found one. It will be truck driving again, but he will be home more than he was before. He will be gone all week, but they only require him to work one weekend a month. The only problem will be working out where my kids will be bunco nights! LOL!

Nicolas has decided on a couple of different occasions to take his diaper off and get on the potty or try to pee in the shower. Nothing has happened, but it may if I start sending him in there every time Jake uses the bathroom. I am not going to stress myself this time. I am not saying a word, I am just going to let him do it when he is good and ready. I am determined to make this the smoothest potty training I have ever done. With Jake and Lucas being in school 5 days a week come August, I may have the time to work with him more than I could the other two.

I guess that's about it for now. Until next time...

The most un-cool story of my life!!!

I have never had a broke bone in my whole 29 years. Until yesterday. I had to run into the Dollar store for a minute. If I knew for sure I would not have the cops called on me, I would have left the kids in the car, but I had to take them in! I got what I needed and was about to check out when they started the I wants. I told them they could have a soda. They were getting them out of the cooler when I asked them if they wanted a beef jerky. Lucas was not listening of course, so I was trying to show him. Jake had 2 sodas in his hands and tried to grab the jerky out of my hand. When he did, one of the sodas dropped and landed very hard, on my toe! I could not do anything. I wanted to scream and hit something. When I finally got to the car, it was okay, still hurt a little, but okay. It started swelling before I got home. Later last night when I looked at it, that toe and the one beside it, and half of my foot was purple! So I have taped my toes up. Jason has had broke toes before and said that is all the hospital would do. When there is no tape on them, my flip flops do not fit right! I do not know what I will do if I cannot wear flip flops anymore!
What tops everything off is all this happened on our way home from taking Nicolas to the doctor. When he woke up yesterday, his whole left eye was swollen shut. He acted like nothing was wrong, but I took him anyway. He had a mosquito bite on his eyebrow that caused his eye to swell. He always gets big red welts, but this has never happened. Since we live in Arkansas, he will be drugged up on allergy meds all summer! Hopefully he will gain some kind of immunity to mosquitoes.

It has started...

Lucas notices girls now! He has always noticed the girls he is around, but not this time! We had to run in the store Friday afternoon before we picked Jake up from school. Since I drive a bus now, I can not park very close to the door, so we parked down one of the aisles. A car pulled in after us and parked right at the door...
Walking up towards the door, Lucas notices a little girl getting out of that car. The look on his face was priceless!
Lucas, "Mommy hurry up!"
Me, "OK, I'm coming."
We get in the store and the girl and her mother are still outside.
Lucas, "Mommy, did you see that girl?"
Me, "Yes."
Lucas, "I really like her hair cut." He meant he liked her hair, I don't know why he says that.
Me, "You did? Do you like girls with brown hair?"
Lucas, "Yes and with long hair, like that girl."
We do our shopping, then we end up on the meat aisle with them...
Lucas (whispering with his hand up to block one side of his mouth) "Mommy, there she is."
Me, "I know, I see her."
Lucas, "She is so pretty."
Me, "Yes Lucas she is pretty."

It wasn't a great conversation, but if you could have seen his face while he was telling me this! I was looking into a teenage boys face that had just seen what they thought was the most beautiful woman in the world. It was hilarious!

It is very weird too, Jacob has never said anything like that about girls, just different kids I guess!
