Today was about showing patience and not being negative. I have to admit that I was very patient today. Everywhere I went there were horrible lines, and wait times. Maybe God threw those in so I would have to be patient? The not being negative part was easy. It happened to be a very pleasant day! I don't know if it was easy because Jason and I hardly ever fight and there was nothing to fight about today, or no reason to get mad, or we just realized that nothing is accomplished with being negative. He folded 6 or 7 loads of laundry and there were no bad words said at all. He knew that he had to fold laundry today, so he just did it, and I kept my mouth shut. If he didn't fold it, I would have folded it tomorrow, even though the rule is you wash it you fold it. I was also trying to not be negative with the kids. Just using the right tone accomplished this goal. Jake and Lucas were mad at Nicolas and Jake grabbed Nicolas' hand, but I just told Jacob why he can't do that to him, and everything was fine.
Tomorrow is to keep with the patience and not being negative, but add in an unexpected gesture as an act of kindness. This one may be difficult. We do things all the time to help each other, so we are a little lost in what to do. I'll figure something out, and I'm sure he will too. While we were reading tomorrow's dare we kinda looked at each other, and I know what he was thinking, why are we doing this. I was thinking the same thing. These first dares are for those who are in bad marriages I guess. They don't really pertain to us, but were doing them anyway. Later in the book, it gets into praying together and things like that, I do not believe that we have ever prayed together. I see where it would help us though. I have got Jason to agree to church! We are going to Grace now. I think that's the only reason I got him to agree. You can wear your blue jeans and it isn't til 5 p.m. Oh well it's a start! I'll keep everyone posted on what else happens...

Fireproof
OK, so Jason and I watched Fireproof last night. I think that he didn't like it like I did, but he is a man! Our marriage has the usual stuff going on, nothing like what was going on in the movie, but it made us look at our marriage differently. It's hard to be like you were when you met after kids, bills and jobs are in the way. We are going tomorrow to buy The Love Dare. I think we are going to start Monday. I think that every married couple should at the very least watch the movie, then if you're up to it do the Love Dare. It's forty days of different things to do. I know on the first day you have to go all day without saying anything negative to the other person. After thinking about it for awhile, I realized that we both say things that are negative to each other, most of the time it's not meant that way, but we do it. We have absolutely nothing to lose by trying it, only a stronger relationship to gain. We'll then have the books for future reference if we get off track. I think that our kids deserve parents that have a strong relationship. I will keep y'all posted on what happens. I don't know yet if I'll post every day or once a week or what, but I will keep you updated!

Happy Birthday!
The second was Lucas' birthday, he turned 4 this year. On the first I made him a birthday cake, it was white with white icing and a whole bunch of sprinkles, just the way he wanted it! We haven't had a birthday party yet because I plan on doing Jacob and Lucas together and getting them a Wii, I just haven't been able to do it yet. The morning after the cake which was actually his birthday, he snuggled up on the couch with me and said, "Thank you mommy for making me a birsday cake." I said "you are so welcome." Then he said, "thank you for singing happy birsday to me too!" BTW he says birsday instead of birthday. I guess he thought I didn't have to make a cake for him, I don't know. It was nice to be thanked for something, even though I have always made a big deal for them on the actual day of their birthday. He is growing up to be quite the little charmer though. I'm gonna have my hands full with that one!
Just an update on the internet, I tried using the library earlier, and it worked! I don't know how, but it did.

Whatever!
OK, I don't know what I was thinking when I put in my resolutions that I was going to be organized! There is absolutely no way to organize 5 people's things in 1100 sq. ft. I have only accomplished getting frustrated. There is no where to put anything. I think I may need to go through everything again and get rid of what I do not absolutely have to have, and maybe then I will have some room. I don't know!
By the way, still no luck with Cricket, I can't get them to return my calls. Looks like a new ISP in my future, and I will see if Cricket will refund any of my money since they have not provided me full access to the internet like I pay for, we will see.

Jacob
I was looking at this and it seems like Jake is being left out! What can I say about Jacob? He is so very smart, and I am not saying that because I am his mother, the other people around him also see it. He has straight A's in school. He had to read 100 books by the 100th day of school, and he finished early, of course. He is at 140 books and still reading. He cannot lie, at all! He makes a face if he tries, but he also told me what his face looks like if he is trying to pull one over on me! I guess you could say he's honest. When you really get him laughing, he still has a baby giggle that is the cutest thing. He makes up all kinds of jokes and then laughs at himself. He loves his brothers, he may not always admit it, but he does. He is very helpful with them. On Saturday mornings he is the first one up, he will get Nicolas and play with him so Jason and I can sleep in. He is the first one to tell me when Lucas is doing something wrong! He reads to Lucas and tells him what the letters are, I didn't know this and was wondering how Lucas was learning the alphabet, then I caught him reading and teaching. He is a truly sweet little boy. I can not believe that my baby is over half way through with the 1st grade, before I know it, he will be in college.

My little Romeo!
Lucas, Lucas, Lucas. He is crazy! Over Christmas break, Lucas and I got 'married'. I don't remember what brought this on, but he just had to marry me. I just said "Do you promise to love me?", he said, "yes!" I promised him the same and we were married. Afterwards I asked him if we were going on a honeymoon and he said we were going drinking! Of course I said, "drinking?!", he said we were going to drink sprite. Some days he doesn't say anything about us being married until Jason comes in and gives me a kiss. He will punch Jason, usually in his man parts, and say "that's my wife!" Other days he talks about it non-stop. When I'm laying on the couch, he'll come lay beside me, and look at me and say, I love you wife! Look at that sweet face! It sometimes gets very annoying, sometimes he won't just quit talking about it. At school, since Valentine's Day is coming up, they are asking them what love means to them. Lucas put down that he loves his mommy only, then went back and put he loves bananas also! I am enjoying that he loves me so much, because I know the time is coming when he would rather talk to a tree than talk to me!

UGH!
I can't give any updates on the kids, I don't know what they've been doing. I have been on the phone with 3 different tech supports since Saturday. I have talked to U of Phoenix tech support,U of Phoenix library tech support and Cricket tech support, and still no help! UGH! In one of my classes I have a persuasive essay on outsourcing jobs to foreign countries, which I haven't really started. I was thinking I have 9 weeks to do it, but this past Sunday my thesis statement was due, this coming Sunday the full sentence outline is due. Up until Friday I had no problems getting into the library. Saturday I sat down and was going to start my research, I couldn't get into the library. After numerous phone calls and borrowing Paula's computer, I figured out it wasn't my computer, there is something wrong on Crickets end. I am waiting for a call back from them. I may end up having to change ISP's. With all of the phone calls they had me changing all of my stuff up, so much so I have no idea where to start to try to get my computer back the way it was. When I try to login to MySpace, it takes me to Google for some reason. I am so sick of the computer. I guess I need to get over that, I'm only 4 weeks into a 20 month degree!
I do know that today Nicolas walked around alot! He yelled ever few seconds to make sure everyone knew what he was doing. It was pretty funny. If my computer ever gets fixed I will let y'all know.
